Why rework your website

Four upsides of reworking your website

01

Stay one step ahead

A modern design signals a healthy, forward-thinking business.

02

Get leads while you sleep

We use SEO to turn your site into an acquisition tool.

03

Prioritise your sales

Redesigns can target today's sales goals, such as ecommerce expansion.

04

Optimise your funnel

Better UX and shorter, clearer content guide visitors to act.

Popular reasons to change website designer

  • Your current agency is unresponsive, or the platform blocks changes.
  • Your web company has lost interest or moved on.
  • You want to scale leads and build future pipeline.
  • Your site no longer reflects your business.

Top reasons businesses hire web design agencies

  • A team helps you hit sales targets sooner when resources are stretched.
  • A stronger representation of your brand and values.
  • The technical expertise is handled for you.
  • Broader expertise than a solo freelancer or DIY site builder.

Update or rebuild?

When to update your existing site vs. build a new one

You can make updates without a full rebuild, although older Elementor, Beaver and Divi sites are slower to change. Our low-cost migration service moves sites to a newer platform.

Run a Google PageSpeed test: a mobile score under 40% suggests a rebuild is due. Sites over six years old tend to score low.

Quick wins

  • SEO page optimisation
  • Image compression
  • Shorter, keyworded sections
  • CRM funnels
  • Calls to action and contact forms on product pages
  • A Careers page

FAQ

Web design questions

What file types do you need?

Ecommerce product data is usually a spreadsheet. Images are typically PNG or JPG, with full-width shots around 2,000px wide. Logos should be EPS or AI (or PDF). Word is fine for text.

Can you migrate content from our old site?

Yes. Ecommerce imports are possible, and we can pull content from old pages into new templates. Older long-form text usually needs condensing.

What's the difference between a landing page and a normal page?

A landing page targets one campaign or theme, usually with a single call to action or form, and often without a menu.

How long does a website project take?

Typically six to eight weeks. A one-page site can take a day. Delays in client content are the most common cause of slowdowns.

How do we decide which pages we need?

We use a page-type checklist to define scope, and keyword research to suggest product and service pages.

Mobile-first or responsive?

Responsive sites resize a desktop design. Mobile-first sites are designed for phones from the start.

Is copywriting included?

Yes — it's included in estimates once page counts are set. We also offer content marketing services.

We don't have good images. What are the options?

AI-created images, stock libraries, a photo shoot or illustrations.

Will a rebuild affect our SEO?

A rebuild is the right time for on-site optimisation, and we carry existing SEO details across.

What are the ongoing costs?

Domain about $65 per year. WordPress hosting from $42 per month; ecommerce hosting from $40 up to $1,000+. Maintenance from $2,000 per year. Performance reports from $750. SEO typically $1,500 per month.

Is web development tax deductible?

For registered businesses, web development is a marketing expense. Call us on 03 348 8477 to discuss.
